PAYING YOUR BILL ON TIME
Why pay more than you owe? A 10-percent penalty is charged on all bill payments not received in the BREC office or at pay stations by the due date. A "postmark" date does NOT qualify as the date payment is received. One of the best way to avoid late fees is to use our automatic bank draft feature.
BILLING OPTIONS
Credit/Debit Card Draft: For members who call monthly to pay their electric bill with a credit or debit card, Buckeye REC is now offering payment by "automatic credit/debit card draft." You will still receive your monthly statement in the mail but will no longer need to call the office each month. Click here to download a credit/debit card draft enrollment application. Contact the member service department of one of our local offices for more information.
Automatic bank draft payment plans are available. Click here to download an application for automatic payments!
Budget billing is also offered. Budget billing allows you to pay a set amount every month. Once every 12 months, a "true-up" of the account occurs, based on actual usage. This reconciliation occurs during the month of May. The true-up might require you to pay for an excess amount of kilowatt hours used during the period if usage exceeds your budgeted monthly total. Or, if usage is less, you will receive a credit from the true-up. Budget billing participation is based on credit rating, and the amount of the monthly bill is an estimated average from the previous 12-month period based on actual usage.
