It’s Annual Meeting time again for members of Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative!

Saturday, Aug. 11, is the big day. The employees, staff, and trustees of the co-op have been planning and working for months to ensure this Annual Meeting will be memorable and full of fun and fellowship.

In this issue of Country Living magazine, BREC prepares for its 68th Annual Meeting with a special section containing notices, important announcements, cooperative financial reports, articles about each of the co-op’s departments, and updates on important projects undertaken or completed during the past year.

The Annual Meeting will be held at the University of Rio Grande’s Lyne Center (Newt Oliver Arena) on campus. Just follow the signs to find parking.

The 2007 membership meeting features all the popular activities of years past, including the popular Holzer Medical Center Health Fair, featuring free screenings and checkups; a delicious pancake breakfast; gifts and entertainment for the children; registration gifts for adult members; the business session; and the awarding of prizes.

Board of Trustee elections are not scheduled this year due to term cycles.

It all kicks off at 8:30 a.m. when registration begins and the doors open for the Health Fair, pancake breakfast, and children’s entertainment. The call-to-order is at 10:30, immediately followed by the business session. Drawing for prizes will start after the business session adjourns.
